Florida is providing grants for the creation of customized Export Marketing Plans aimed at identifying overseas growth strategies for local businesses. This initiative, a collaboration between SelectFlorida, the Florida SBDC Network, and the U.S. Commercial Service, targets qualified Florida manufacturers and service providers. The development of these plans will assist companies in pinpointing international growth opportunities. Following the plan's completion, companies new to exporting or those who export infrequently will have the opportunity to apply for additional support, including the Gold Key/Matchmaker Grant, a Trade Show Grant, or participation in a SelectFlorida overseas trade mission. Minimum qualifications include being a Florida-registered active entity with at least two years of operation in the state, maintaining a licensed commercial operation within Florida, employing between three and 500 full-time employees, and achieving a minimum of $250,000 in annual sales.
