Eligible applicants include higher education institutions, nonprofits, for-profit organizations, local and tribal governments, and federal entities. Foreign organizations are not eligible to apply. Applications are limited to $475,000 in direct costs per year, with a maximum project period of five years. Proposals must include clear milestones, such as benchmarks for nanoparticle delivery efficacy or diagnostic sensitivity improvements, to evaluate progress toward project goals. Applicants must comply with NIH policies on data sharing, human subjects research, and animal studies.
