The Truckee Core Values Event Fund is a community grant program designed to support nonprofit-hosted or nonprofit-partnered events that embody the spirit of Truckee’s five core values: Healthy Lifestyle, Family-Friendly, Natural Beauty, Community-Minded, and Arts, Culture, and History. Administered by the Truckee Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Town of Truckee and powered by the Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation, the fund aims to enhance the vibrancy and cultural integrity of the Truckee community through strategic event marketing support.
This program specifically funds marketing expenses for public-facing events that are aligned with at least one of the Truckee Core Values. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations or those in direct partnership with nonprofits. All events must be open to the public and located within Truckee. For-profit applicants must demonstrate a meaningful partnership with a nonprofit that will act as the primary grant recipient.
For the 2026 cycle, applications will be accepted from October 15 through November 14, 2025, via the Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation’s online grant portal. Awards are intended to assist with promotion and outreach efforts, not general event operations or logistics. Typical awards range from $500 to $2,500. Priority is given to events that support multiple core values, have demonstrated community impact, and are sustainable over time.
Applicants must provide a detailed marketing plan and budget, clearly identifying how funds will be used. Funding can cover expenses such as advertising, social media promotion, graphic design, and materials printing. Final grant reports detailing the impact of funded events are required post-event.
