Pathways to Recovery Initiative

The Pathways to Recovery Initiative is a competitive grant offered by the New Jersey Department of Labor aimed at providing training opportunities, career services, and supportive services to individuals impacted by the opioid epidemic. The program seeks to deepen the network of employment support for those affected by the opioid crisis, improving opportunities and incentives for opioid-impacted individuals through basic skills instruction and workforce readiness training. The main goal is to place these individuals into unsubsidized employment, facilitating community partnerships and ensuring timely delivery of necessary career training and support activities. Eligible applicants include lead agencies that provide training and employment placement services to opioid-impacted individuals residing in New Jersey. The application process requires a Letter of Intent by August 26, 2024, with the application due by September 3, 2024. The total funding available for FY 2025 is estimated at $5,491,829, with individual grants up to $915,305, aimed at supporting a minimum of 200 participants in the program.
