This program provides $50,000 grants to small nonprofit arts organizations in select states to strengthen their operational sustainability and enhance their community services.
The Mid-America Arts Alliance (M-AAA) is accepting applications for its new program, Cultural Sustainability: Operational Impact Grants for Small Arts Organizations. Supported by The Wallace Foundation, this initiative aims to provide operational funding, capacity-building support, and cohort learning opportunities to small arts organizations with a cultural focus. This pilot program is designed to strengthen the infrastructure of arts organizations within the region by offering significant support to enhance operational sustainability. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations and arts-focused businesses with annual operating expenses under $500,000. The program is open to organizations in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, and the Native Nations within these areas. Through this program, M-AAA will distribute 22 unrestricted grants of $50,000 each, totaling $1.1 million across the region. Applications are open until January 10, and selected organizations will receive non-matching funds that can be used to support general operations, enhancing their capacity to serve their communities. For additional program details or to apply, organizations should visit the M-AAA website.
