The Lodi Community Foundation invites applications for its 2025 Grants Program from eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations serving residents in the Lodi area. With a mission to strengthen the community through strategic grantmaking, the Foundation has allocated $50,000 to support special projects, programs, and initiatives aimed at benefiting the local population. This funding is designed to assist nonprofit organizations in meeting community needs through impactful and cost-effective programming.
Each eligible applicant may request up to $5,000. Proposals will be reviewed based on criteria such as project clarity, budget reasonableness, service to the Lodi area, feasibility, sustainability, and overall cost-effectiveness. Only public charities classified under 509(a)(1) or 509(a)(2) are eligible, and local government agencies or public education institutions, such as K-12 public school districts and public universities, are excluded from applying.
The application portal opens on September 1, 2025, and all proposals must be submitted by October 10, 2025, at 5:00 PM Pacific Time. Funding decisions will be communicated to applicants by December 31, 2025, with disbursement of awarded funds scheduled for January 30, 2026. Proposals must be submitted via the Lodi Community Foundation’s online application system.
Technical assistance is available via email at info@lodicf.org. Applicants are encouraged to reach out with questions or for support using the subject line “Lodi Community Foundation Grants Program.” No pre-application step, such as a letter of intent or concept paper, is required.
In a previous grant round, Lodi Community Foundation awarded matching grants to organizations including Changing Faces Theater, Giving Opportunities to Kids (GOT Kids) Foundation, Hospice of San Joaquin, and the LOEL Foundation, each receiving $1,000. These awards highlight the foundation's commitment to local impact through grassroots and community-based initiatives.
