Impact100 Garden State Grant
This grant provides $100,000 to nonprofit organizations in New Jersey for new or expanded initiatives that demonstrate measurable community impact and sustainability.
Impact100 Garden State offers an annual $100,000 grant to support nonprofit organizations serving residents of Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, and Union counties in New Jersey. The organization is part of the broader Impact100 network, which brings together women to collectively fund transformational grants. Known for its commitment to impartiality and rigorous evaluation, Impact100 Garden State ensures that each submission receives a confidential and objective review by trained volunteer grant reviewers. The purpose of the 2026 grant is to support impactful projects or programs that address unmet needs and target underserved populations within the five-county region. Eligible projects can either be new initiatives, expansions of current programs, or enhancements to existing efforts. All proposals must align with at least one of the organization’s designated focus areas: Arts & Culture, Children & Families, Education, Environment, Preservation & Recreation, or Health & Wellness. The entire grant amount must be used within a three-year period. Applicants must be 501(c)(3) public charities in good standing and provide IRS Form 990 for the 2024 tax year, two consecutive years of audited or reviewed financial statements, and recent interim financial documentation. Proposals must demonstrate a plan to serve primarily the target counties, regardless of where the applicant’s headquarters is located. Collaborations are allowed and encouraged when appropriate, but if a proposal involves another organization (such as a school or hospital), a Memorandum of Understanding is required at the finalist stage. Applications for the 2026 cycle are currently open and are due no later than Friday, January 9, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, unless the cap of 100 submissions is reached sooner. Applicants will receive status updates as submission thresholds of 50 and 75 are approached. All applicants will be notified in early April about whether their submission has advanced. Finalists will be publicly announced in May and asked to prepare written summaries and videos for a member vote. The grant recipients will be announced at the Annual Awards Meeting, "The Big Give," scheduled for June 10, 2026. The application process is hosted online and includes a preliminary eligibility check, submission of required documents, and detailed responses to narrative prompts regarding organizational history, proposed activities, outcomes, budget, and collaboration. Impact100 Garden State emphasizes sustainability, requesting a plan for how the initiative will continue beyond the grant period.
