Applicants are invited to apply for the William J. Deputy Endowment Fund. Deputy Fund supports projects and programs in the Harbor Country area. Bill Deputy was a member of the New Buffalo Yacht Club and New Buffalo Harbor Commission. He was a quiet philanthropist who cared about the growth of his community and the people who lived there. Bill particularly had a heart for the waterfront areas but also wanted to support projects that benefit all of the communities of Harbor Country. Eligibility Criteria  The Berrien Community Foundation administers this endowment, which makes grants to municipalities in Harbor Country for projects benefiting their residents. Municipalities serving Grand Beach, Harbert, Lakeside, Michiana, New Buffalo, Sawyer, Three Oaks, and Union Pier are eligible to apply. Each municipality may only submit one application per year.
