The Elizabeth R. Koch Foundation's 2025 Request for Proposals is aimed at strengthening organizations that provide vital community care in Los Angeles County. The Foundation supports the individuals and organizations who offer stability, mentorship, crisis response, mental health services, grief support, and safe spaces during times of need, transition, or hardship. The Foundation’s vision of care extends beyond formal services to include relational, local, and communal support that restores human connection.
Grants will range from $25,000 to $50,000 and are available to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations with a minimum annual budget of $250,000. National organizations may apply if the grant is used exclusively for Los Angeles County-based operations or programs. Grants are one-time, unrestricted, and may be used for either programs or operational support. Political and advocacy activities are not eligible for funding.
The application period opens April 22, 2025, and closes June 1, 2025. Funding decisions will be announced on September 3, 2025. This RFP represents the Foundation’s initial public funding opportunity, with an emphasis on flexibility to empower organizations in their essential work.
