Grant Description

The Fine & Country Foundation offers charitable grants to support homelessness prevention, poverty reduction, and housing stability projects both in the United Kingdom and internationally. The Foundation, headquartered in Mayfair, London, operates through a network of Fine & Country offices that nominate eligible charities within their regions. Its goal is to fund constructive projects that assist individuals experiencing homelessness, prevent housing loss, and provide long-term solutions that help people transition from temporary accommodation to independent living. The Foundation awards grants of up to three thousand pounds twice per year, during the spring and autumn cycles. The spring application window opens in March, applications are reviewed in April, and funds are distributed in May. The autumn round opens in October, reviews take place in November, and funds are awarded in December. Applications submitted outside these periods are not considered. Multiple grants may be awarded to the same organisation for different projects, and consecutive grants may be requested after six months, provided that previously awarded funds have been fully spent and accounted for. Eligible applicants must be registered charities with a valid Registered Charity Number and must provide documentation confirming their status. Grants are available to charities, poverty prevention schemes, and housing associations whose work focuses on homelessness care and prevention. The Foundation particularly supports programmes that provide direct services, outreach, and sustainable solutions to keep people off the streets. Both UK-based and international charities may apply, and organisations of all sizes are welcome to participate, provided they meet the charitable purpose criteria. Applications require nomination by a Fine & Country office. The local office must complete and sign Section One of the Foundation’s Grant Application Form, confirming endorsement of the applying charity. The charity then completes Section Two of the application, detailing its mission, project description, requested amount, financial breakdown, and relevant attachments. Both the signed application form and the Foundation’s Terms and Conditions document must be submitted by email to [email protected] before the relevant deadline, with the nominating Fine & Country representative copied on the submission. Grants cannot be used for salaries, fundraising commissions, or any non-charitable purposes. Recipients must submit an evaluation report and project summary within thirty days of completion, describing outcomes and use of funds. The Foundation reserves the right to review funded projects, request documentation, and withhold or reclaim funds if used inconsistently with the approved purpose. Decisions are made by the Foundation’s trustees based on project priority, reach, value for money, impact, and evidence of learning. Successful applicants are notified by the end of May or November, depending on the cycle. All applicants are encouraged to reapply for future rounds if unsuccessful. The Fine & Country Foundation emphasizes transparency and accountability, maintaining public communication about the impact of its grants. Charities seeking additional information or guidance on nominations may contact the Foundation at [email protected] or visit www.fineandcountryfoundation.com for application materials and instructions.
