Grant Description

The Seacoast Women’s Giving Circle (SWGC) is offering a $25,000 unrestricted grant for 2025 to support organizations that aid unpaid caregivers of aging adults. Eligible organizations must provide services such as education, access to resources, mental health support, respite care, or advocacy for caregivers. The grant focuses on improving the quality of life for socio-economically disadvantaged individuals in the Seacoast communities of New Hampshire and Maine, including Seabrook, Hampton, Hampton Falls, North Hampton, Rye, Portsmouth, Greenland, New Castle, Newington, and Kittery. Applicants must be 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations and align with SWGC’s priorities, such as fostering independence, addressing emerging needs, offering long-term solutions, and expanding existing organizations rather than creating new ones. Applications from religious or politically partisan organizations or programs that discriminate are not eligible. Collaborative and impactful approaches that address SWGC’s mission and benefit Seacoast residents are encouraged. Applications are due by 5:00 PM on Monday, January 27, 2025. Successful applicants will be notified by April 8, 2025, with a celebration event for grant recipients scheduled for May 7, 2025. Funds will be distributed during the summer of 2025. The grant application requires both a narrative and attachments. The narrative (maximum three pages) should address the organization’s mission, how it aligns with the grant focus, and how it meets SWGC priorities. It should also describe collaboration efforts and the organization’s impact within the Seacoast towns. Attachments must include the organization’s most recent 990 Form, financial statements, operating budget, revenue breakdown, and a list of board members with their length of service. Applications, including all required documents, must be submitted via email to give.swgc@gmail.com. For further inquiries, organizations are encouraged to contact SWGC for assistance. This grant provides an opportunity to support critical services for unpaid caregivers and strengthen the Seacoast community.
