The application period opens at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, and closes at 11:59:59 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025. Nonprofit organizations that provide services within Defiance County, Ohio, in the impact areas of education, essential services, financial stability, or health are encouraged to apply.
Applicants must complete the designated application form available online, requiring the creation of an account through the portal. Organizations new to the funding process are advised to review the Funding Matrix to determine whether their program aligns with the United Way of Defiance County’s funding guidelines. Applications will be reviewed after the submission deadline, and funding decisions will be communicated by July 2025.
Funding supports programs specifically targeting Defiance County residents. This annual process emphasizes United Way’s mission to improve lives and advance the common good by supporting programs that make a measurable difference in the community.
