The R. Bruce & Alyce S. Kopseker Trust, administered by the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation, provides grants to support projects serving individuals over the age of 60 who primarily reside north of Sturgeon Bay in Door County, Wisconsin. The Trust focuses on helping seniors remain healthy and independent in their homes through a wide range of eligible activities.
Applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations or government entities such as schools or municipalities. Organizations must also adhere to nondiscriminatory practices regarding race, religion, gender, age, and other protected statuses. Funding may support program or project costs, equipment, technology upgrades, staff or board training, operational needs, and other priorities identified by the Grants Committee.
Grant proposals are evaluated on specific criteria, with special emphasis on a clearly articulated need, the program’s feasibility, the potential for self-sufficiency, the leveraging of partnerships and resources, the presence of measurable outcomes, and the likelihood of long-term impact. Programs must propose reasonable budgets, demonstrate positive standing with the Community Foundation through past grant reporting, and show strategies for attracting additional funding.
For questions about the program, applicants are encouraged to contact Zianya Saldaña, Director of Equity and Community Initiatives, at 920-432-0800. Additional details on the application process are available through the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation’s grant application portal.
