Sandwich Fundation Grant Program

The Sandwich Fundation, Inc. is dedicated to enriching the lives of children and youth, aged 0 to 18, along with their families within the town of Sandwich. Their mission centers on fostering well-being, community engagement, and joy through targeted funding for local programs, projects, and events. The foundation supports individuals, organizations, and groups that demonstrate a commitment to this mission, emphasizing a collaborative and localized approach to community enrichment. The 2025-2026 grant cycle provides funding in three distinct categories: Programs, Projects, and Special Events. Applications are open from July 15 through October 15, 2025, and may be submitted online through the foundation’s website. The submission process requires applicants to describe their initiative’s objectives, timeline, budget, expected community impact, and how the proposed work aligns with The Sandwich Fundation's mission. There is no limit to the number of applications an entity can submit, but each must cover a separate and distinct initiative. While there is no preset limit to the amount of funding that may be requested, grant amounts are awarded based on the strength of the application and the availability of funds. Applications are assessed by a review committee using a comprehensive rubric that evaluates Innovation, Community Impact, Feasibility, Timeline, Budget, Sustainability, and Alignment with the Fundation’s mission and vision. Selected grantees will be notified in November 2025. Recipients will be formally acknowledged and invited to accept their awards at the lighting of The Littlest Christmas Tree in Sandwich on November 30, 2025. This annual event underscores the foundation’s community-oriented spirit and serves as a celebration of local impact initiatives. Grantees must adhere to specific use-of-funds requirements, ensuring that awarded funds are used only for the purposes described in their approved application. Any deviations must be approved in advance by the foundation. Additionally, recipients are expected to provide a basic report—such as photos, videos, or a written summary—demonstrating how the funds were used and the resulting impact on the community. As part of its visibility and accountability goals, The Sandwich Fundation reserves the right to use media (including photos and video) from grantee activities for promotional purposes. A photo release form will be provided for this purpose. The foundation also supplies signage and offers photo opportunities to help highlight funded efforts.
