Grant funding is available to nonprofit organizations with projects that serve older adults in the Oshkosh region. Eligible proposals must demonstrate clear benefits to individuals age 55 or older and aim to improve their quality of life, health, and access to supportive services. While grant amounts typically reach up to $5,000, larger awards may be made for capital-focused initiatives. Preference is given to proposals that serve a high number of older adults and show measurable outcomes or previous impact through prior grants from the Ladies Benevolent Society Fund.
Grant funds generally do not cover staff salaries or benefits. The program seeks to support direct services, outreach, enrichment activities, and essential needs that foster community connection, dignity, and aging in place for seniors in economic need. Past grants have enabled programs that reduced isolation, supported nutrition and mobility, and offered creative engagement opportunities for older residents.
Applications must be submitted through the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation’s online grant portal no later than October 15, 2025. Following initial review, applicants may be asked to submit additional documentation. Funding decisions will be announced in November. All applications must be completed online—submissions by mail or in-person are not accepted.
