NSF Research: Statistics
This grant provides funding for researchers to develop innovative statistical methods and models that enhance data analysis and interpretation across various scientific and engineering fields.
The Statistics Program of the National Science Foundation (NSF) supports research in statistical theory and methods, promoting innovation in stochastic modeling, data collection, analysis, and interpretation. This research is critical for characterizing uncertainty in data and advancing science and engineering across domains. The program encourages a broad range of proposals, from individual investigator projects to interdisciplinary collaborations. Researchers can apply to this program via Research.gov or Grants.gov, adhering to the relevant guidelines for proposal preparation and submission. The next window for full proposals is December 1-16, 2024, with this window recurring annually from December 1-15. Proposals submitted outside these dates will not be considered. Proposals for conferences or workshops must be submitted at least eight months before the event's start date. For questions, Program Directors Yong Zeng, Yulia Gel, Tapabrata Maiti, and Jun Zhu are available for consultation. The program also offers additional resources for related areas like Big Data, Neuroscience, and Postdoctoral Research Fellowships.
