Grant Description

The TxO Grant Program, part of the a16z Talent x Opportunity (TxO) initiative, aims to support entrepreneurs with the talent and drive to build successful businesses but who lack the necessary networks and resources. The program provides capital through a Donor Advised Fund managed by The Tides Foundation, a 16-week accelerator and mentorship program, and access to a community of mentors, industry experts, and corporate partners. The TxO Grant Program focuses on advancing out-of-network talent by offering financial support for internship placements and career development opportunities in the technology industry and startup ecosystem. In 2024, the TxO Grant Program will allocate up to $50,000 to three selected nonprofit organizations. To be eligible, organizations must be U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits with existing programs focused on technology, startups, or entrepreneurship, and must align with the mission of supporting out-of-network individuals. Applications are due by July 19, 2024, at 11:59 pm PST. Successful applicants will undergo a due diligence process with The Tides Foundation before final approval of their grant.
