The application process for grants from the Tolland GTCF is open to nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations, as well as groups of Tolland residents who are in partnership with such organizations. The grants aim to support projects that primarily benefit Tolland citizens. The application requirements specify that religious organizations can apply, but only for projects that benefit the broader community and are not religious in nature. 509(a)3 charities and private foundations are excluded from eligibility.
The grant offers awards ranging from a minimum of $250 to a maximum of $12,000. Applications must be submitted online or through email by the deadline, which is March 15, 2025. The committee will notify the recipients of grant awards by April 19, 2025, and funding will become available around May 17, 2025. Organizations may only submit one application.
The Tolland GTCF is managed by the Tolland GTCF Committee, which includes residents who engage with the community to identify needs and allocate the funds. The committee also helps promote awareness about community needs and serves as a liaison to the Hartford Foundation.
