The Idaho National Laboratory (INL) has announced the opening of its community grant application period for 2025. These grants are made possible through corporate funding from Battelle Energy Alliance, which operates the laboratory on behalf of the U.S. Department of Energy. The INL community engagement programs aim to support charitable organizations that provide essential services to underserved groups in local and regional communities. Organizations eligible for INL’s community grants must be recognized as current 501(c)(3) nonprofits. The primary focus for these grants will be nonprofit programs that operate in the areas of health and human services, veteran and civic activities, and culture and arts. Priority will be given to organizations located in Idaho, especially those whose projects are connected to other community efforts or funds, thereby offering tangible and lasting benefits to the region. The grant's purpose is to encourage community-based initiatives that enhance both economic and social well-being.
To apply for the grant, eligible organizations must submit their requests online. Applicants will need to provide proof of their current 501(c)(3) status, a completed W-9 form, and a brief narrative describing their proposed project or program. This narrative should include key partners and other relevant project details. All applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025.
