City of Visalia Nonprofit Youth Grant Program Fund
This grant provides financial support to nonprofit organizations in Visalia that offer programs and services specifically designed to benefit local youth.
The Nonprofit Youth Grant Program Fund, administered by the City of Visalia through its Citizens Advisory Committee, supports local nonprofit and government agencies that deliver youth-centered services within the city. Recognizing the vital role these organizations play in enhancing the quality of life for Visalia residents, the grant program offers targeted financial support through an annual competitive funding cycle. This initiative helps sustain or launch programs that directly benefit youth living in or attending school within Visalia. The fund is available to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and government agencies operating in the City of Visalia. All programs must clearly serve individuals under the age of 18 and demonstrate local impact. Applications must be submitted by 12:00 PM on September 30, 2025. Only one application per agency is permitted, and proposals must be submitted in PDF format either by email or delivered to City Hall West at 707 W. Acequia Ave., Visalia. Late applications will not be considered. Grants awarded under this program will range from a minimum of $1,000 to a maximum of $6,500. Funding may support existing programs, new program launches, or scholarship-based initiatives. While there are no specific program categories required, the proposal must clearly show how the funding will contribute to the welfare and development of Visalia youth. The application process is straightforward, with optional grant application workshops scheduled for August 26 from 5:00–6:00 PM and August 27 from 12:00–1:00 PM at the City Council Chambers. Application materials can be accessed in person at City Hall West, downloaded from the city's official website, or requested via email. Submissions may be made in person, via postal mail, or emailed directly to ruth.pena@visalia.city. The grant process is designed to ensure equitable opportunity for local organizations to receive limited public funds in support of meaningful youth engagement and development. Questions regarding the grant process should be directed to Ruth Peña, Financial Analyst, at ruth.pena@visalia.city or by phone at (559) 713-4327.
