The Vance County Community Foundation (VCCF), an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF), provides grant funding to charitable organizations serving the residents of Vance County. Founded in 1997, VCCF works to build community assets through permanent endowments, grants, and leadership activities, all for the benefit of the local community.
The 2025 grant application cycle opens on April 4, 2025, and closes at NOON Eastern Time on May 6, 2025. Late applications, including those delayed due to technical issues, will not be accepted. Grants awarded typically range from $500 to $2,000. In 2024, VCCF awarded $12,050 through this competitive grant process.
Funding will be drawn from the VCCFโs general unrestricted endowment, as well as the Bobby R. and Griselle G. Woodward Endowment Fund and the Edna Freeman Murray and Ralph Murray Charitable Fund. All grants are intended to support nonprofit efforts that meet community needs as identified in the Vance County Community Needs Assessment.
Applications must be submitted using NCCFโs online grant portal. First-time applicants should review and complete Training Modules I and II to properly set up a profile and submit their application. Grant decisions are typically announced about two months after the application cycle closes.
For questions, applicants are encouraged to contact the assigned Program Officer at NCCF.
