Grant Description

DCJS expects that $9,813,053 will be made available to support approximately 30-100 projects. Applications will only be accepted from a unit of local government which includes, but is not limited to, an organizational unit of local government such as a prosecutor's office, public defender's office, law enforcement agency, public health agency, or court system. Each eligible unit of local government may submit one (1) application.This RFA requests applications to support projects to implement state crisis intervention court proceedings and related programs or initiatives, including, but not limited to, extreme risk protection order programs that work to keep guns out of the hands of those who pose a threat to themselves or others, mental health courts, drug courts, veterans treatment courts, prevention programming related to mental and behavioral health, gun violence reduction and prevention programming, and suicide prevention programs.
