The Saratoga Casino Hotel Foundation, Inc. supports charitable and public benefit organizations that aim to enhance the quality of life, health, and welfare of Saratoga County residents, particularly addressing the needs of problem gamblers. The Foundation prioritizes projects that promote community benefit, recreation, the arts, youth engagement, and support for senior citizens.
Eligibility is restricted to organizations classified as not-for-profit by the Internal Revenue Service and that directly serve Saratoga County residents. Preference is given to initiatives that align with the Foundation’s mission, particularly those targeting problem gambling and broader community welfare. The Foundation does not consider requests for grants or loans to individuals, construction projects, or labor costs.
Applications must include the legal name of the organization, its establishment date, mission, contact information, project administrators’ qualifications, a description of the proposed project or program, a requested funding amount, and a generally itemized budget. Any supporting documentation to clarify the request should also be included.
All applications must be submitted electronically. For 2025, the grant cycle begins on August 4, with the deadline for application submissions set for September 12. Applicants should send their materials via email to Bridget Rider, Secretary to the Board, at brider@saratogacountyny.gov. Organizations may only submit one consolidated request per year, even if multiple departments seek funding.
The Foundation's board will review applications at a meeting held on October 1, 2025, and awards will be publicly presented on October 21, 2025, during a session of the Saratoga County Board of Supervisors. All recipients are required to submit a post-grant report within one year detailing fund usage and assessing the project outcomes.
Submit all departmental requests together; individual departments should not submit separately. Follow submission deadlines precisely; only one application accepted per organization per year.
