Applicants are expected to develop, expand, or refine volunteer models addressing unmet community needs, particularly through initiatives focused on supporting family caregivers, leveraging technology, and using volunteers to assist in non-emergency medical visits. These models should promote independence and increase access to nonmedical support, without including direct medical care.
Grants range from $30,000 to $200,000 for an 18-month project period. Awardees must contribute a 25% match of the total project budget through cash or in-kind contributions. Funding operates as a reimbursement grant, with eligible costs covered quarterly upon submission of financial reports.
