The Smith Atwell Girls Recreational Grant Program for Fiscal Year 2025 is currently accepting applications from March 3, 2025, through May 15, 2025. This grant program aims to empower and encourage girls and young women by supporting athletic and outdoor recreational opportunities. The program is designed to fund equipment, programming, or training that enhances these opportunities for girls and young women in Greene County, Missouri.
Eligible applicants must be nonprofit organizations with 501(c)3 status, government entities, school districts, or tax-exempt faith-based organizations. Importantly, applicants must be based in Greene County, Missouri, and provide programming directly benefiting girls and young women in athletic or outdoor recreational activities.
The grant will award $500 to one agency in the summer of 2025. This funding can be used to purchase equipment, develop new programming, or provide training that directly supports the athletic and recreational development of girls and young women. The grant is intended to support efforts that promote healthy lifestyles and encourage participation in physical activities among this population.
The Community Foundation of the Ozarks (CFO) administers this grant and upholds a strict nondiscrimination policy in awarding funds.
