Grant Description

The Eulipions Fund, managed by The Denver Foundation, is a philanthropic initiative designed to support performing arts that reflect and promote the heritage and lifestyles of African-American communities in Colorado. The fund was established by Eulipions, Inc., a nonprofit committed to fostering artistic expression with a specific focus on the experiences of African-American residents in Colorado. The Denver Foundation, a respected charitable organization based in Denver, facilitates the application process and disbursement of funds. The primary objective of the Eulipions Fund is to generate, assist, increase, and encourage the performing arts within Colorado's African-American communities. Funding is available for both general operating support and specific performances or arts programs. Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate how their work contributes to the vibrancy and cultural richness of the performing arts as they relate to African-American experiences and traditions. Grant amounts generally range from $4,000 to $10,000. This funding is intended to help nonprofit organizations expand their reach and impact through sustained or new performing arts initiatives. However, receiving a grant in prior years does not guarantee future awards, as all applications are subject to competitive review and must meet the fund’s current guidelines and priorities. To qualify, applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations or have a fiscal sponsor with equivalent tax-exempt status. In addition, the organization must be based in Colorado and conduct work that directly benefits Colorado's African-American communities through performing arts. The fund specifically excludes support for political or religious advocacy, capital campaigns, debt retirement, endowment funds, travel or vehicle purchases, and the creation or distribution of publications and electronic media. Applications for the 2025 cycle opened on May 1 and will close on June 16. All applicants must register on The Denver Foundation’s grant application portal to submit their materials. During the application process, prospective grantees are encouraged to consult the Foundation’s Grant FAQs or reach out directly via the provided contact information for assistance. For any questions related to this grant opportunity, applicants may contact the foundation at eulipions@denverfoundation.org. The foundation’s main office is located at 1009 Grant Street, Denver, Colorado 80203, and can also be reached at 303.300.1790.
