The 2024 Roddenberry Prize will award $1 million to an early-stage scientific or technology venture leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) for a better future. The prize focuses on AI and machine learning, aiming to use these technologies to create a more equitable and prosperous world. The application process involves three rounds: a Letter of Intent (LOI) submission (June 17 through July 12, 2024), a second-round application (August 5, 2024 – August 23, 2024.), and a final round where five finalists will present their work and vision during a one-hour meeting with the foundation. The grand prize is a $1 million non-dilutive grant. Eligible applicants include early-stage ventures that have raised Seed Rounds through Series A financing and focus on solutions that align with one or more of the 17 United Nation Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
