The Gilroy Foundation has opened its 2025 Competitive Grant Cycle, inviting nonprofit organizations in Gilroy and surrounding South County areas to apply for funding to support impactful local initiatives. Since 1980, the foundation has provided over $18.5 million in grants and scholarships, helping nonprofits strengthen the community through various projects. For the 2025 cycle, grants range from $500 to $5,000 and can support activities in fields such as Agriculture, Artistic Enrichment, Education, Environment, Civic Services, Culture, Health, Recreation, and Technology.
Nonprofits can apply until the submission deadline at 9:00 p.m. PST on Friday, December 13, 2024, with grant awards announced in March 2025. Organizations must be 501(c)(3) entities or have a fiscal sponsor with this designation. Funding is competitive and seeks to support projects that align with the foundationโs mission, including fostering self-sufficiency for children and families, enhancing student academic performance, promoting health and well-being, enriching cultural life, improving environmental conditions, and addressing community gaps.
The foundation also supports nonprofits through additional services such as investment partnerships and fiscal sponsorships, which can further enhance organizational impact. For questions about the application or to ensure receipt of your application, nonprofits are encouraged to email grants@gilroyfoundation.org.
