The Wayne County Community Foundation offers Competitive Community Grants twice annually to support charitable projects benefiting Wayne County, Ohio. Grants are made in categories such as arts and culture, civic affairs, education, health, human services, and the environment. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations, public schools, churches (for secular activities), and government agencies.
Applications must demonstrate clear project planning, collaboration, and efficient use of funds. Preference is given to proposals that are sustainable, have catalytic potential, and leverage additional funding sources. Projects must be completed within one year. Organizations that have not received funding in the last two cycles are prioritized.
Grant applications are due by March 1 or September 1 each year. Decisions are made by June 1 and December 1, respectively. Applicants may request a draft review of their proposal at least two weeks before the deadline by emailing the Foundation.
Applications are submitted via the Foundationโs Online Grant Portal. Awardees must submit a final report within one year of receiving funding. For more information, contact the Foundation at grants@wccfoh.org.
