Medical Funds Grant

The Seattle Foundation offers a range of competitive grant opportunities throughout the year to support community-based organizations primarily located in the Greater Seattle region. These grants are designed to promote equity, health, and wellbeing through focused investments in community-driven programs. Current grant opportunities include the Medical Funds 2025 Grant, the Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) initiative, and the Whitehorse Foundation grants, each targeting specific regional and thematic areas. The Medical Funds 2025 Grant is open for applications from May 1 to June 13, 2025. This fund supports the purchase of medical equipment either for community-beneficial medical research or to address specific healthcare needs of low-income children. Funding is available to tax-exempt 501(c)(3) public charities operating primarily in King County, Washington. Grants typically do not exceed $40,000 per organization. Priority is given to equipment requests linked to research on cancer, cardio-pulmonary conditions, multiple sclerosis and related diseases, arthritis, autoimmune, or inflammatory diseases, and diabetes. In the child health category, emphasis is placed on capital campaigns, facility renovations, or equipment needs that directly serve low-income children.
