Grant Description

The 2025 Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) for Paraguay, administered by the U.S. Embassy in Asunción, invites applications from alumni of U.S. State Department-funded and sponsored exchange programs. This funding opportunity supports innovative, alumni-led projects that leverage skills gained through exchange experiences to address global challenges in local communities. For 2025, AEIF Paraguay focuses on promoting democracy and anti-corruption. Grants will range from $5,000 to $35,000, with a total funding pool of $35,000. Projects should be completed within a performance period of up to 12 months. All proposals must involve teams of at least two eligible alumni. Projects must be implemented within Paraguay and demonstrate a clear benefit to the community while aligning with U.S. Embassy priorities. Eligible applicants include nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status and teams composed of alumni of U.S. exchange programs. Proposals must outline clear objectives, a feasible implementation plan, and demonstrate measurable outcomes. Activities may include workshops, capacity-building programs, community outreach, or other initiatives that advance democracy and anti-corruption efforts. Proposals that do not meet these criteria will be deemed ineligible. Applications are due by January 10, 2025, and must be submitted via the U.S. Embassy’s designated contact email, EducationParaguay@state.gov. Required materials include a project narrative, a detailed budget, and résumés of team members. The U.S. Embassy will evaluate applications based on criteria such as alignment with embassy priorities, alumni involvement, community impact, and feasibility. Awards will be granted at the discretion of the Department of State and are contingent on available funding. For additional details or assistance, applicants can contact EducationParaguay@state.gov.
