Community Grants

The Parkinson’s Foundation Community Grants program provides funding to organizations across the United States to deliver impactful, measurable, and sustainable programs for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease (PD). This initiative reflects the Foundation’s mission to improve the lives of people with PD by supporting community-based projects that address their physical, emotional, and educational needs. Since its inception in 2011, the Foundation has invested over $12.7 million in 969 programs nationwide, reaching more than 81,000 individuals and care partners. The 2026 cycle of the Community Grants program is supported by the estate of Stanley and Gloria Brams. Stanley, diagnosed with Parkinson’s at age 52, and his wife Gloria committed to funding local initiatives aligned with their values. This generous bequest will enable expanded support for innovative community programs with a focus on equitable access. Programs funded must align with one or more of the following focus areas: addressing mental health in PD, supporting care partners, and delivering or educating about exercise programs designed for people with PD. Funded projects should prioritize underserved populations and integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion into their design and delivery. Applications are welcome from nonprofit and for-profit entities, provided the services are offered at no cost to participants. Only independently operating community or local organizations are eligible, excluding chapters of national organizations. Funds may not be used for salary costs, capital expenses, exercise equipment, indirect costs, office supplies, promotional materials, staff travel, individual memberships or licensing, or multi-year grants. Instead, the funding is intended to directly support programming that meaningfully impacts local PD communities. Applications must be submitted via ProposalCentral by Friday, January 30, 2026. Applicants are required to create an account on the platform to access the application. Award notifications will be distributed in late June 2026, and the grant performance period will run from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. An informational webinar will be hosted on December 2, 2025, from 3:00pm to 4:00pm ET to guide applicants through the process.
