Arts Access Project Grant
This funding opportunity supports organizations in Wyoming that create arts projects for communities with limited access, including individuals with disabilities, older adults, veterans, and economically disadvantaged groups.
The Arts Access Project Grant is offered by the Wyoming Arts Council to support projects that increase access to the arts across Wyoming. The grant is intended for organizations serving communities with limited access to arts engagement, including individuals with disabilities, older adults, veterans, economically disadvantaged individuals, rural communities, individuals with limited English proficiency, and folk and traditional artists. By supporting comprehensive and collaborative community engagement, the grant aims to foster greater inclusion and equity in the arts sector throughout the state. Applicants may request up to $1000 in funding for projects taking place between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026. The grant follows a rolling application model, with awards distributed until allocated funds are exhausted. Applications must be submitted at least six weeks prior to the start date of the proposed project. Awards are determined based on a โFund/No Fundโ model, evaluated by a panel of experts and arts professionals who assess alignment with the programโs objectives and evaluation criteria. The evaluation framework includes several key areas: clarity and alignment of the project with identified community needs, engagement and outreach strategies, accessibility and compliance with disability accommodations, methods for evaluating program outcomes, and clarity in budget narrative and requested expenditures. The review panel assigns scores based on artistic merit, demonstrated community engagement, and expected project outcomes. Organizations must review the Wyoming Arts Council's general grant guidelines before applying to ensure eligibility and compliance. Individual artists are not eligible. Applicants who have not received a Community Support Grant may be eligible to receive up to two separate Wyoming Arts Council grants for different programs or events, provided they meet eligibility requirements. No cash match is required for this grant, although applicants must report in-kind contributions in their final report. The application process includes submitting a proposal that details community context, program design, accessibility planning, evaluation methodology, and budget breakdown. Applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible due to high demand and limited funds. Final reports are due in July following the conclusion of the grant period. Applications will be accepted beginning mid-May and are reviewed on a rolling basis until all funds are committed.
