Eligible applicants include organizations located in Bonner County or serving its residents, provided they meet one of the following criteria: 501(c)(3) public charities under IRS code 170, public educational institutions, or government entities (including local governments and libraries). All applicants must submit proposals via the Idaho Community Foundation’s online portal. The grant term spans nearly a year, and recipients are required to submit an End of Grant Report by the following May 1.
Projects that are prioritized include those that reach a wide portion of the community or school population, promote understanding of the arts as essential to a vibrant society, and recognize the value of artistic diversity. Applications that demonstrate collaboration, matching or in-kind support, sustainability, community backing, or an urgent community need will be particularly competitive.
Proposals for capital projects, individual travel, or attendance at conferences are considered less favorable. Certain project types are ineligible, including those benefiting private individuals, fundraising initiatives, political or lobbying activities, and religious programs focused on furthering a specific faith. Grants to individuals are strictly prohibited.
