LGBTQ Communities in Arizona

The Kellenberger + Tollefson Center for LGBTQ Philanthropy, part of the Arizona Community Foundation, is offering grants for 2025 to support initiatives that advance justice and opportunities for LGBTQ individuals in Arizona. The center focuses on three key areas: LGBTQ youth, LGBTQ seniors, and transgender individuals, aiming to create a more inclusive and supportive environment. The grant cycle opens on March 18, 2025, with applications due by May 2, 2025, at 4:00 PM. Awarded projects must submit a mid-term report by January 30, 2026, and a final report by June 30, 2026. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, schools, municipalities, government agencies, tribal entities, and houses of worship (for non-sectarian programs). These organizations must be in good standing with the IRS and align with the Arizona Community Foundation’s grantmaking policies. Applications must be submitted online through the Arizona Community Foundation's grant portal, and hard copies will not be accepted. Additionally, organizations need to provide details about their mission, past service to LGBTQ communities, budget, and workforce structure. Grantees must adhere to specific terms and conditions, including using funds strictly for approved purposes, submitting progress reports, and participating in potential meetings with the grantor. The Arizona Community Foundation retains the right to revoke funding if grantees fail to meet requirements.
