Grant Description

The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS), through its Arizona Tobacco Control Program (ATCP), is offering grant funding to community organizations in Arizona to provide prevention, education, and cessation services related to commercial tobacco and electronic nicotine use. This initiative aligns with ATCPโ€™s Five-Year Strategic Plan (2022-2026) and seeks to reduce tobacco use among populations most disproportionately affected by commercial tobacco consumption. The ultimate goal of this program is to move Arizona towards a future free of commercial tobacco use through community-driven efforts. This grant opportunity is designed to support organizations that serve priority populations, including African Americans, individuals with behavioral health conditions, Latinx and Hispanic communities, LGBTQIA+ individuals, people of low socio-economic status, Medicaid beneficiaries, rural populations, and tribal communities/American Indians. The selected organizations will focus on developing tailored messages, implementing effective programs, and fostering collaborative partnerships to address the unique challenges these populations face in quitting tobacco use. Eligible applicants must be community-based organizations operating within Arizona. These organizations should have experience or demonstrated capacity in delivering health-related education, outreach, and cessation services targeting disproportionately affected communities. Funding will be awarded to entities that can effectively leverage community partnerships to address tobacco control comprehensively. Applications open on March 5, 2025, and must be submitted by April 17, 2025. The grant is not issued on a rolling basis, meaning all applications must be received before the deadline to be considered. The anticipated award date is not specified. For more information or assistance, interested applicants may contact the Arizona Department of Health Services. Additional details regarding submission requirements, program implementation, and funding allocations are expected to be provided upon request or through official grant documentation.
