The City of Santa Clarita is launching the second annual Animal Care Grant Program for the 2025 cycle, offering targeted support to nonprofit organizations serving the local animal population. This initiative was created to enhance the capacity of community-based animal care providers and to complement the services offered by the Castaic Animal Care Center. The Santa Clarita City Council has allocated $50,000 annually to fund this program.
Applications will be available online beginning April 1, 2025, at SantaClarita.gov/AnimalCare. The deadline for submission is May 15, 2025. Each nonprofit organization may request up to $10,000 in funding. Priority will be given to projects that expand spay/neuter services and support animal rescue efforts, addressing critical gaps in local animal welfare services.
An optional virtual information session will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., where prospective applicants can ask questions and learn more about eligibility criteria, program objectives, and application requirements. The session will be hosted via Zoom at the following link: SantaClarita.zoom.us/j/88489038506, with Meeting ID: 884 8903 8506 and Passcode: 4480.
Eligible applicants must be nonprofit organizations that provide animal care services within the City of Santa Clarita.
