Skill Advance Colorado Job Training Grant
This program provides funding to businesses and nonprofits in Colorado to create tailored job training for new hires and existing employees, enhancing workforce skills and competitiveness.
The Skill Advance Colorado Job Training Grant supports businesses and nonprofits in creating customized job training for employees. The program consists of two funding streams: Colorado First (CF) funds for new hires at companies relocating or expanding in Colorado, and Existing Industry (EI) funds for training at established Colorado companies and nonprofits. The goal is to develop Colorado’s workforce, improve workers’ skills, and help businesses remain competitive. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis from July to March each fiscal year.

Per learner funding maximum: CF - $2,800, EI - $2,500; CF and EI Pilot Mini Grants for Micro Businesses: CF - $3,800, EI - $3,500. Funding is disbursed to community colleges for reimbursement to grantees after training completion.

Additional Requirements
Employees funded by the CF and EI programs must reside and work in Colorado during the grant period. All training must take place within Colorado and be short-term and customized to specific business needs. Grant applicants must pay employees an average wage above the Colorado State required minimum wage.
