Bradán Lane Foundation Youth STEAM Education Grant

The Bradán Lane Foundation is a relatively new philanthropic organization focused on improving educational opportunities for underprivileged youth through the advancement of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) programming. The foundation supports public charities delivering innovative and transdisciplinary educational initiatives that help young people develop practical, cross-functional skills applicable to real-world problems. Grants awarded by the Bradán Lane Foundation range from $1,000 to $10,000. These are intended to fund specific STEAM-aligned projects rather than support general operating costs or capital campaigns. Funding must benefit individuals residing in the United States or its territories. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year, with all submissions received by September 30 considered for grant awards distributed at the end of November. Priority consideration is given to applications that are complete, clearly aligned with the foundation’s strategy, and demonstrate measurable educational outcomes for the youth they serve. Eligible applicants must be U.S.-based public charities with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status and be able to provide a valid IRS W-9 form. Organizations may receive only one grant per year unless exceptional circumstances apply. Ineligible entities include for-profit businesses, individuals, political or lobbying organizations, and religious groups seeking funding for faith-based purposes. Additional exclusions cover events, capital campaigns, and programs that duplicate government responsibilities unless focused on community-led service improvements. Applicants must submit a completed application form along with required supporting documentation via email. Each approved grantee must sign a grant agreement prior to receiving funds and is expected to submit at least one report detailing the project’s outcomes and impact. While the foundation is still refining its processes, it commits to transparency and collaboration, acknowledging that initial rounds may include procedural learning. Final funding decisions are made by the foundation’s board of directors, with assistance from advisory reviewers if necessary.
