This program is administered through the Indian River Community Foundation and provides funding opportunities for local nonprofits that address critical community needs. The funding purpose of HHH-IRC is to support projects and services that demonstrate significant benefit to specific target populations within Indian River County. The funding areas include education and training, youth activities, homelessness and family support, mental and physical health, services for seniors, cultural enrichment, environmental issues, and scientific research. Importantly, the fund will not support initiatives intended to further religious or political goals. Specifically, applicants must have a current 501(c)(3) designation, provide an audit or CPA-reviewed financial statement for their most recent fiscal year, and maintain a Silver or higher rating on GuideStar.org. Proposals from applicants failing to meet any of these criteria will be excluded from consideration. The application process begins with a mandatory Letter of Idea (LOI), which is due by August 29, 2025. Organizations that are deemed eligible and whose LOIs present promising ideas will be invited by October 1, 2025, to submit full applications. These applicants will also be invited to an informational session in mid-October at the Indian River Clubhouse in Vero Beach. Final applications are due by November 28, 2025. Grants will be evaluated based on their ability to efficiently address unmet needs in the community, supported by data and referencing the Indian River County Community Needs Assessment. Additional evaluation criteria include organizational capacity, program sustainability, use of volunteers, collaboration with other entities, and the presence of measurable outcomes and a tracking framework. Programs that serve South Indian River County (particularly zip codes 32962 and 32968) will receive special consideration. The maximum grant award for the 2025β26 cycle is $20,000.
