Grant Description

The Arts Everywhere Program is designed to enhance student success, strengthen the Kansas economy, and enrich communities through the arts. This grant program supports a wide range of cultural projects, exhibitions, educational initiatives, and other arts-based programs. It provides funding to educational institutions, arts organizations, and nonprofit community service organizations to utilize the arts as a tool for fostering creativity, developing critical job skills, enhancing community engagement, and increasing overall participation in the arts throughout Kansas. Eligible projects must align with an arts or cultural discipline, including but not limited to music, dance, theatre, creative writing, literature, painting, sculpture, folk arts, photography, crafts, media arts, visual arts, and museum programming. The primary objectives of this grant program are to increase access to arts experiences, support innovative arts education initiatives, and promote economic and cultural development within the state. By funding these initiatives, the program aims to cultivate artistic expression and appreciation while simultaneously advancing workforce development and student achievement. Through its support of creative endeavors, the program contributes to the vibrancy and sustainability of Kansas communities. Funding for the Arts Everywhere Program ranges from $1,000 to $20,000, depending on the applicant’s eligibility and project category. All awarded grants must be matched at a minimum of 1:1 using a combination of cash contributions and in-kind expenses. This requirement ensures that grant recipients actively contribute to the sustainability of their projects. Organizations based in designated Rural Opportunity Zones may claim in-kind, non-monetary donations as up to 100% of their matching funds. Eligible applicants for this grant include established 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, federally recognized tribal communities, and units of local government. Large multipurpose institutions and public entities applying for funding must demonstrate a distinct operating budget and an advisory or governing board that oversees the proposed arts initiative. Applicants are encouraged to review the program guidelines for further eligibility criteria. The grant period runs from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, and all funded activities and expenditures must occur within this timeframe. Applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. CST on Friday, February 28, 2025. The program encourages prospective applicants to carefully review the eligibility requirements, guidelines, and submission details to ensure a successful application process.
