Grant Description

The Asian Pacific Community Giving Circle (APCGC) is offering a $5,000 grant opportunity for 2024 to support nonprofit organizations working to serve underserved Asian and Pacific Islander communities in Southern California. This grant focuses on the development, recruitment, and retention of nonprofit personnel, which includes paid staff, interns, volunteers, board members, and independent contractors. The goal is to enhance organizational capacity to better fulfill their mission. Eligible organizations must operate within one of the following Southern California counties: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, San Diego, Imperial, Kern, Santa Barbara, or San Luis Obispo. Applicants must serve underserved Asian and/or Pacific Islander populations, have an organizational budget of $1,000,000 or less, and employ at least one full-time paid staff member. The organization must also be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit or have a fiscal sponsor with the same status. The application process requires online submission through the Salesforce platform by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. Late or paper submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances. Applicants must include the required additional information, either delivered or postmarked by the same deadline, using the provided program budget template. For organizations without a Salesforce account, registration is required; assistance with login issues is available through the "Forgot your password?" or "Not a member?" options on the portal. Resources such as a program budget template and a sample application are available to help applicants prepare their submissions. The application can be found under the Funding Programs tab in Salesforce under the name โ€œAPCF Giving Circle 2024.โ€ This grant offers an opportunity for smaller nonprofits to enhance their workforce capacity and operational stability, directly impacting their ability to serve Asian and Pacific Islander communities in Southern California.
