Teaching Innovator Grant Program

Our Community Foundation administers various funds to support charitable, educational, religious, or public entities, with a specific focus on addressing the charitable goals of its donors and the community needs of Daviess County, Indiana. The organization’s Board of Directors holds the final authority to award grants that align with the Foundation's mission. The 2025-2026 Teaching Innovator Grant program was designed to empower educators in Daviess County schools by supporting innovative classroom projects. The initiative reflects the Foundation’s belief that equipping teachers with resources to implement forward-thinking educational ideas is a strategic investment in youth development. By encouraging creative approaches within the classroom, the Foundation seeks to help students thrive in an evolving world. Each Teaching Innovator Grant offers up to $250 per award, intended to fund unique in-school or in-class projects that engage students and enrich their learning experiences. These small-scale grants are available through two cycles aligned with the school calendar: one for projects in the first semester and another for those in the second semester of the 2025–2026 school year. Teachers may only receive one award per school year. Applicants are required to obtain prior approval from their school principal. A completed application must include a signed form verifying this approval. The application form is a fillable PDF and must be submitted either via email or by postal mail. Submission deadlines are set for October 31, 2025, with both email timestamps and postal postmarks being accepted as verification. Handwritten submissions are not accepted.
