2025 Emerging Markets Program
This program provides funding to U.S. agricultural organizations and businesses to help them develop and expand export markets for American agricultural products in emerging markets.
The "2025 Emerging Markets Program" (USDA-FAS-EMP-2025), administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Foreign Agricultural Service, aims to support U.S. entities in developing, maintaining, or expanding export markets for U.S. agricultural commodities. The program promotes cooperation and information exchange between U.S. agricultural institutions and businesses and those in emerging markets, facilitating market development and export growth. The program offers up to $8 million in total funding, with individual awards capped at $500,000. Cost-sharing is required, ensuring that applicants contribute a portion of the project costs. The grant provides multiple application deadlines, including June 14, 2024, December 31, 2024, March 31, 2025, and the final deadline of June 30, 2025, after which no applications will be accepted. Eligibility criteria are outlined in Section C of the funding opportunity announcement. The program is open to U.S. entities, including agricultural trade organizations, cooperatives, state agencies, and private companies, aiming to foster market development for U.S. agricultural products in emerging markets. Applications should focus on initiatives that can effectively enhance market access or expand market share for U.S. agricultural exports. Projects may involve technical assistance, capacity building, trade missions, or research collaborations.
