Eligible applicants include a wide range of entities such as state and county governments, Native American tribal governments and organizations, public housing authorities, independent school districts, nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status, institutions of higher education, and for-profit organizations including small businesses. Foreign organizations, as well as non-domestic components of U.S. organizations and foreign components as defined in NIH policy, are also eligible to apply.
There is no cost-sharing or matching requirement associated with this funding opportunity. The announcement does not permit clinical trials. This is a discretionary funding category under the “Health” funding activity and aligns with the Assistance Listing number 93.172 for Human Genome Research.
