Grant Description

The Medford Public Art Selection Committee (PASC) is currently accepting applications for the Partnership Opportunity Grant, with submissions due by 5:00 p.m. on August 29, 2025. The PASC operates under the City of Medford and is committed to promoting exposure to art, culture, and humanities through community-based projects. The grant program is designed to support local efforts that engage Medford residents and activities within Medford’s incorporated areas. Eligible initiatives include public arts education programs, youth-focused art initiatives, and events or exhibits that aim to broaden access to the arts. This funding opportunity is particularly geared toward tax-exempt organizations and those with a fiscal sponsor that is tax-exempt. Only projects scheduled to occur between August 29, 2025, and June 30, 2026, are eligible for consideration. Funding requests must clearly support a defined project objective aligned with the promotion of the arts within the specified eligibility window. Applicants may request funding between $500 and $5,000. All funds awarded must be used solely for the purpose outlined in the approved application. The grant explicitly prohibits the use of funds for construction projects, general maintenance, endowments, previously completed work, general operations, or commercial ventures. All applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on August 29, 2025. Only complete applications submitted on or before this deadline will be reviewed. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their submission within 10 days following the committee’s decision. Projects must be concluded and a final one-page report submitted by June 30, 2026. This report must document how the grant funds were utilized to meet the project’s objective. If the project is not completed and reported by the deadline, the funds must be returned. A representative of the applying organization must sign a statement acknowledging the responsibilities associated with receiving the grant and must complete the necessary financial documentation. A completed W-9 will be required before any funding is disbursed. For any questions or technical support related to the application process, applicants are encouraged to contact Kim Trimiew via email at kim.trimiew@cityofmedford.org by Friday, August 22, 2025.
