The Athlete Recovery and Care Commitment Grant is a funding initiative sponsored by TYLENOL in partnership with the Women’s Sports Foundation (WSF). This grant is designed to provide financial assistance to elite women athletes in the United States who have suffered a sports-related injury within the past 12 months and are facing financial hardship due to medical expenses, loss of income, or other related costs. The goal of the program is to help injured athletes recover physically and mentally while continuing their pursuit of excellence in their respective sports.
This initiative aligns with TYLENOL’s Care Commitment to break down barriers to healthcare access for injured athletes. The grant supports women athletes training for World Championship competitions, National Championship competitions, the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Games, and/or the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games. Recipients will receive financial aid for expenses directly related to their recovery, such as medical bills, rehabilitation tools, and other necessary recovery services. However, funds cannot be used for personal expenses.
The application period opens on March 10, 2025, and closes on April 10, 2025, at 5:00 PM EST. Grants will be distributed in the second quarter of 2025. A total of $100,000 will be awarded, divided into ten (10) individual grants of $10,000 each. Applications must be submitted through the Women’s Sports Foundation’s grant management system (Foundant GLM).
Eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal residents who are elite women athletes actively training for a qualifying competition and who can demonstrate financial need due to an injury sustained in the past year. Additional selection criteria include a detailed description of how the grant will help their recovery and continued participation in their sport. Athletes receiving this grant must agree to participate in promotional activities, including allowing TYLENOL and WSF to share their stories. Recipients must also provide injury updates at six months and one year after receiving the grant.
All awarded funds are subject to IRS regulations, and recipients must complete necessary tax forms (e.g., W-9) to receive their grant. Any funds that cannot be used for the intended purpose must be returned to the Women’s Sports Foundation.
