Grant Description

The Rotarian Foundation of Livermore (RFL) is currently accepting applications for its 2025 Community Grants. These grants are aimed at supporting projects that benefit the community and improve the quality of life for Livermore Valley residents. The grants will fund projects that align with the foundation's priorities, particularly those serving underserved and disadvantaged communities, as well as youth, veterans, and seniors. RFL’s mission is to support projects that respect diversity, provide community benefit, and help foster sustainable improvements in the region. Each year, the RFL invites community organizations to apply for grants that align with the foundation's vision and mission. The goal is to partner with organizations to create a lasting and positive impact within the Livermore Valley. To apply, organizations must demonstrate how their proposed projects address specific community needs, particularly in terms of inclusivity and diversity, and how they will provide enduring community benefits. Applications for the 2025 Community Grants are due by March 1, 2025. Applicants are required to complete a detailed application, including information about the project’s timeline, budget, measurable goals, and how the project will align with RFL priorities. In addition, all applicants must be sponsored by a member of the Rotary Club of Livermore or the Rotary Club of Livermore Valley. The sponsorship ensures that the proposed project aligns with the foundation’s mission. Grant awards can be as high as $10,000, depending on the project's needs. However, funding cannot be used to pay salaries, and the Foundation requires the grant to be used solely for charitable purposes. Applications must be submitted by March 1, 2025, and will be evaluated by a committee that may conduct interviews of finalists. The committee's recommendations will be submitted to the RFL Board of Directors for final approval. Beneficiaries of the grant are expected to attend an Awards Presentation Event, where they will briefly speak about their project. Additionally, they must support the Foundation’s fundraising activities, including attendance at events and the donation of in-kind support. A Grant Progress Report must be submitted by December 15, 2025, to report on how the funds were disbursed and the accomplishments of the project. For any assistance, applicants can contact the foundation via email at rotarianfoundationlivermore@gmail.com.
