Fountain Hills Community Foundation Grant
This grant provides financial support to nonprofit organizations that serve youth, families, and seniors in Fountain Hills and nearby areas, helping them address community needs and enhance their impact.
The Fountain Hills Community Foundation (FHCF) is a nonprofit organization committed to strengthening the Fountain Hills community and its surrounding areas by investing in local nonprofits that serve youth, seniors, families, and the broader community. FHCF’s mission is rooted in improving the lives of residents through support of organizations with a proven local impact. Funding is made possible through ongoing community donations and annual fundraising activities conducted by the Foundation’s board. Each year, FHCF opens its grant cycle to nonprofit organizations operating within Fountain Hills and its surrounding communities that hold 501(c)(3) status and a valid tax identification number. The maximum funding awarded per organization is $5,000. In addition to general support for various nonprofit projects, FHCF designates an annual Key Community Project—a collaborative initiative involving one or more local organizations addressing significant community needs. Applications for the grant program are accepted from June 1 through June 30. Applicants may submit their materials online or by mailing completed forms to the Foundation’s P.O. Box. Supporting attachments can be emailed to the administrative address provided. Organizations awarded funding are required to spend the grant within 12 months and must present at FHCF’s Giving Day event, typically held in early October, to share the anticipated impact of the award. A follow-up report is also required to outline how the funds were used and the resulting outcomes. The grant review process is structured around five core evaluation criteria: Community Impact, Community Need, Effectiveness, Feasibility, and Sustainability. Each criterion carries a specific point weight, ensuring that proposals are judged consistently and transparently. Successful applicants must demonstrate alignment with FHCF’s mission, identify a tangible community need, offer a practical implementation plan, and outline clear outcomes and sustainability strategies. Eligible uses for grant funding include program development, equipment purchases, event-related expenses, marketing and outreach, volunteer training, facility improvements, professional services, capacity building, and transportation related to service delivery. While FHCF encourages grantees to participate in its fundraising efforts and public engagement campaigns, participation is not mandatory but strongly recommended. For any questions or to submit supporting documents, applicants may contact the Foundation via email at admin@FountainHillsGives.com. The organization’s mailing address is Fountain Hills Community Foundation, P.O. Box 20104, Fountain Hills, AZ 85269. All grants must be used within one year of receipt, and participation in the award ceremony is a requirement for continued eligibility in future cycles.
