The Town of Cave Creek Community Grant Program supports nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations located within Cave Creek and the Desert Foothills area. The program provides up to $40,000 in total grant funding for fiscal year 2025–2026, with individual awards capped at $10,000. These grants are intended to enhance the community’s health, safety, welfare, history, and culture by sustaining initiatives in education, preservation, arts, humanities, and other community-focused areas.
To qualify, organizations must be tax-exempt under IRS Section 501(c)(3), have been operational for at least one year, and demonstrate financial sustainability beyond the term of the grant. The proposed program must contribute directly to Cave Creek’s General or Strategic Plan and possess measurable goals and realistic implementation methods. Indirect administrative or salary costs are not eligible for funding.
Applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025. Late or incomplete submissions will be ineligible, with no notification of disqualification. Applications can be emailed or hand-delivered to the Town Clerk’s office. Required components include a signed cover page, tax-exempt certification, narrative description of the program, budget and financial statements, and an application certification. Prior grant recipients must submit outcome summaries and related photos.
A five-member Community Grants Committee—composed of a town council member, two residents, one business leader, and a senior town staff member—reviews applications and submits funding recommendations to the Town Council. The Council will vote on the awards in December, and disbursement of grant funds is expected by late January 2026. All funded organizations are required to submit a final report by year-end documenting the use and impact of the funds. Extensions must be formally requested if the project is not completed by the reporting deadline.
Applicants are encouraged to contact Teresa Riza, Town Clerk, for questions regarding the program or the submission process. She can be reached at 480-488-6621 or via email at townclerk@cavecreekaz.gov. Additional information and application materials are available on the town's official website.
Late or incomplete applications are automatically disqualified. Include signed certification and IRS determination letter.
